1. PREPARE FOR YOUR WORKOUT

Sometimes the biggest struggle is just getting to the gym in first place. You’ll find it easier to make it out the door if you take a few minutes the night before to get everything in order.

Pack your athletic wear, set your gym shoes by the door, and put together a simple snack you can eat on the way. This way, you won’t have any excuses when you wake up the next morning - everything’s ready to go!

2. SCHEDULE YOUR WORKOUT

Your life is jam-packed with activities, deadlines, and responsibilities. So, sometimes your workout falls to the bottom of your priority list.

What’s the best way to stay consistent in your workout routine? Commit to a plan and schedule your workouts in advance. Think about your scheduled workouts like any other appointment - if it’s on your calendar, it’s non-negotiable.

Start by booking a set of sessions with one of our personal trainers, signing up for a round of group classes, or creating your own personal workout challenge. Then, add each workout to your calendar to make sure you stay on track.

3. FUEL YOUR WORKOUT 

Even though the most obvious muscle-building, fat-burning work happens during your workouts, the rest of your day matters too. Set yourself up for success by making sure you’re fueling your body well outside of the gym. Eat a serving of healthy protein before and after each workout so that you have enough fuel to rebuild muscle and stay energized. It’s also important to stay well-hydrated throughout the day. Don’t sabotage the hard work you put in at the gym by failing to fuel your body well.

4. STAY ACCOUNTABLE FOR YOUR WORKOUT

You don’t have to work towards your fitness goals alone! In fact, you’re more likely to stay consistent in your workouts and make progress if you find an accountability partner. Reach out to another Fit Factory member on our Facebook Page, get to know other members at one of our upcoming events, or join a group class - ‘cause exercising is more fun with friends!

5. MIX UP YOUR WORKOUT

Are you getting bored? Hitting a plateau? Struggling to stay motivated? Try introducing something new to your workout regimen. Challenge your body and your mind in new ways by joining a new fitness class or trying CrossFit for the first time. 6. TRACK YOUR WORKOUT

Keeping track of your progress is one of the best ways to stay motivated on your fitness journey. You might not even realize how much progress you’ve made, since change happens slowly, over time. So, start tracking the details of every workout, whether you’re working towards more frequent workouts, a higher rep number, or a faster time. Then, next time you’re feeling discouraged, look back on your workout log and see how far you’ve come. 

7. CELEBRATE YOUR WORKOUT

You’ve got big goals: losing twenty pounds, moving up to the next F.F.I.T. level, or finally building defined abs. But sometimes these goals take a long time to accomplish, and it’s easy to lose momentum along the way. So, start noticing and celebrating the small victories along the way—because the best way to reach your biggest goal is to accomplish and acknowledge your smaller goals. Celebrate the first time you make it to the gym five times in a single week. Celebrate the first time you’re able to push yourself through a whole class without taking a sideline break. Celebrate the first time you feel confident rockin’ those neon workout leggings. And, before you know it, you’ll be checking off your next big goal.
